As part of a positive learning environment I will be using the GOTCHA! system in our grade 3/4 class. This is how it works:
When students are "caught" doing something positive (completing homework, helping a classmate, holding the door open for someone, etc.) they will receive a GOTCHA! Every time a student receives a GOTCHA! point a sticker will be placed on their wall chart. When the student has collected 10 GOTCHA! points he or she will be able to pick a prize from the goody-bag.
At the end of each week, the student with the most GOTCHA! points will be added to the Student Hall of Fame.
